It’s our yearly tradition to have CNY luncheon at Isaiah’s paternal grandmother’s house at JB on the first day of the Chinese New Year. This year was no exception!
As compared to last year, Baby Jayne is a lot more mobile and active this year, so I just left the girls to entertain themselves running in and out of the house, and playing with their Uncles & Aunties. Family time is really quite awesome. =D
Before we set off for Grandma’s house, Joey helped out with the packing of the ang pows. =) Love her CNY dress – A red designer Korean-inspired dress that I got at a good discount!
Jayne is all decked out in black & grey stripes. =)
We usually meet the relatives and cousins only once a year, so CNY is a good time for catching up. =)
My girls are the only 4th-generation around at the luncheon! =)
Baby Jayne with her Auntie & Uncle!
There is a new dog called Husky at the house this year, and the girls love playing with him!
Our CNY luncheon looked like this!
And homemade Vietnamese rice rolls made by one of our male cousins! =)
The meal will not be complete with Grandma’s pig’s stomach soup every year! Hot & spicy, and full of love and blessing from the most senior one in the household!
May the new year drip with the goodness of the Lord! =)
What was your first day of the CNY like? =)
