My favourite man has just done something he has NEVER done in his entire life before - Cook For The Family!
I'm totally serious - This man has completely no flair for cooking whatsoever. If I leave him alone, he would just live on biscuits and bread everyday. And you can take my word for it - I've known him for 22 years now. He'd rather go hungry than to cook anything at all.
And so, I am eternally grateful to Daniel for inspiring him with his #CookForFamily initiative. It was a totally cool idea, and I am so proud of hubby for completing the task. And it actually tasted awesome, which was an unexpected bonus. =X More than 100 bloggers participated in this initiatives, and all their entries were up on their respective blogs on 6 August. You can check out Mr Kuan's entry here.
Mr Kuan looks totally cute in an apron. A FIRST, and definitely a milestone in his life.
The ingredients for the breakfast he was cooking for the family that day! The kids were mighty excited. I can totally understand - I am too.
Papa Isaiah said he had to complete everything himself, so I only stood nearby and took photographs for him. He seemed to manage pretty well during the preparation stage - All the chopping and cutting were not difficult for him at all.
It was a good chance for the kids to help Daddy alongside as well. I told her to treasure it because we seriously don't know when Papa Isaiah will cook again. LOL!
Cooking together as a family is one of the most fun activities to do, especially during the weekends. We plan to do more of that soon, as the kids are now older and more able to help out during the preparation. :)
Mr Kuan's cooking the pancakes and mushroom/ham omelette! Made easier by our Happy Call Pan. =P
So pretty, isn't it?? =D
Pancakes look adorable and taste yummy! We can't go wrong with Betty Crocker's, can we?? =P
Nicely done, Mr Kuan! During the cooking process, he had to juggle between flipping the pancakes and stirring the boiled vegetables, and he muttered a few times, 'Cooking is really not easy'. Haha!
Everyone tucked in happily! It was one of the yummiest breakfasts we've had! Made with lots of Mr Kuan's love. Heee!
Good job, Papa Isaiah! We are so proud of you!
(Let it not be the last, ok?)
