Pierced II

And so, in my house, the younger girl is more courageous than the older one. Joey's pretty scared of anything loud, fast, painful and scary-looking. Baby Jayne's a lot more gutsy. That explains why Baby Jayne had her ears pierced much earlier than Joey did.

After seeing how pretty Baby Jayne looks with her earrings, Joey has finally conditioned herself and mentally prepared for her ears to be pierced. I had my ears pierced when I was a little girl too, and I remembered it was virtually painless. So I always thought it was a mental barrier that Joey had to overcome. Once she's over that, the piercing should be a fast and easy process for her.

Went back to B'Dazzle again, this time round the branch at Raffles City, and we picked out exactly the same earrings for Joey as with Jayne. That was my nervous girl sitting on the chair waiting for her earlobes to be marked.

She's totally stiff and nervous. Her face was expressionless. But check out the expression on Baby Jayne's face - I say that's a smug look! Haha.

Finally, Baby Jayne got to see how the piercing was done. :)

All ready for the final step. I tried calling her, and she didn't respond. I believe she was in a state of shock.

Both ears were pieced at the same time....  When the needles went in, I heard an 'OUCH!' from the girl, and then big fat tears came gushing out.

Apparently, it was really painful. Both her ears were red. We had to contain our laughter and comforted her as best as we could. I guess she was brave enough to be even willing to make the move.

The little sister had to ask her at that moment, 'So painful why you still want to pierce?' Hehe

That's what makes life interesting, isn't it? =P
