Remember I mentioned about the Zespri 14-Day Challenge previously? =D It's officially kicked start with the delivery of fresh & yummy kiwis yesterday!
I am ashamed to admit that I do not like fruits generally. Growing up, my mum would serve up cut fruits after dinner everyday, but I would hardly touch them. That would probably account for my bad complexion now. =X When I became a mum, I was determined to feed my kids fruits because I know how essential they are in our diet. BUT, I don't always succeed. Because I don't like fruits myself, I forget about buying them for my kids often. This challenge is a good start for me to get back on track. As a good mummy, I have the responsibility to ensure my kids eat well and healthily.
So, in the next 2 weeks, I will be feeding my family kiwis everyday, and at the end of the 2 weeks, I will let you know if I feel any different! Hopefully, we will all become healthier and more energetic. =) By the way, did you know that kiwis have five times the nutrition of apples?? That is to say if you are not a fruit-lover just like me, finish a kiwi and you would have absorbed enough nutrients for the week. That's way easier than trying to finish 5 apples?! =D
Today is Saturday, and we're just about to leave the house to attend the wedding of my childhood friend, Stephanie. And so, I cut up some kiwi fruits, and packed them in a bento box to bring along to the wedding. Definitely a healthy snack that can keep my kids entertained during the wedding, in case they get restless. =)
A portion for Joey and a portion for Jayne. =D I feel healthy looking at the pretty green already.
