My kids go to Sunday School every Sunday when I attend church services, but today was their first time attending a Children's Day Party in church. I've heard so many parents rave about how awesome the special celebration services are, but that was nothing compared to what my kids & I experienced for ourselves. Thumbs up, City Harvest Children's Church! What an awesome service! And since I will be away for a week in Tokyo and taking a blogging break, here's one post to accompany you for this whole week. A few interesting videos included! =D
We took the free busing to Singapore Expo Hall 1, where the service was held. The bus picked us right at the bus stop infront of my house. Very good service! Our cell group friends also took the same bus and attended the service together. :) Look at the two cute ladies in the bus!
And the slightly older ones. =)
While waiting for service to start, the hall was bustling with excitement. :) The theme of this year's Children's Day service is Rainbow Groove, and the hall was decorated with a balloon rainbow and clusters of white balloons suspended in mid-air as clouds. I love the idea!
The programme line-up was fun and interesting. There were stage games being played, hip hop dance performance, balloon-cum-magic show, story-telling and mass dance segment where all the kids were taught Oppa Gangnam style! Too cool! =D
The performer blew up a huge balloon and he went inside it, and attempted different tricks inside the balloon! Amazing feat.
And the whole time, my girl had her fingers in her ears because she was afraid the balloon would pop!
The dancers teaching the kids simple Oppa Gangnam style dance steps. :)
And of course, the familiar hand actions!
I thoroughly enjoyed the praise and worship! The atmosphere felt very pure and filled with love. During praise, the kids were jumping up and down vibrantly and I jumped along with everyone! Felt so free. :)
Shot a video clip of Baby Jayne praising God - SO CUTE!
Another one with her friend, Chernise, in it as well! This is my favourite Children's Church praise song.
And the presence of God was so strong during the worship that I teared. There was such purity and freedom in that place, I totally love it. Surely, God delights in the worship of the little children. :) Then, I turned and saw Joey in deep worship and that touched me even more. I pray her love for God will grow even stronger and deeper everyday of her life. This is so very precious.
Of course, mascots are a must-have for Children's Day service! The kids rushed to take photographs with them after the service. :)
With Mr Oppa Gangnam!!!! =D
Thank you CHC Children's Church for putting up such a wonderful service for all the kids. Even I was mightily blessed! :)
Ending off with this video clip with the kids dancing along to Oppa Gangnam Style! =)
Alright, signing off for one week! Will be back with beautiful Tokyo photos! =D
