Limoncello’s Mother’s Day Set Menu

Media Invite

My Mother’s Day celebrations got off to a really early start this year with a delicious meal at Limoncello Pizza & Grill. Known for its authentic Southern Italian cuisine and welcoming atmosphere, Limoncello serves dishes that resonate with the palates and memories of Amalfi Coast, with specialties such as napolitana wood-fired pizzas made from white brick oven and charcoal-grilled seafood. The kitchen is also helmed by Chef Mauro Crescendo—a native of Amalfi Coast himself. As you enter the restaurant, you will find a open-concept kitchen with the white brick oven – Pretty impressive & authentic.

The Mother’s Day menu begins with a complementary welcome drink - Limoncello Spritz, a refreshing drink with a hint of alcohol.

Portobello Al Tartufo

The first starter dish in the menu is a hearty dish of oven-baked Portobello Mushroom with sauteed spinach and truffle sauce. To be honest, I am not a fan of truffle, but surprisingly, I enjoyed this starter every much. The truffle taste was not overwhelming and I thought that it matched the mushroom very well. That cheese crisp at the top was yummy!

Sauté Vongole

Two starter dishes in one menu – How about that? This clams in white wine sauce is my absolute favorite dish anywhere I go, and Limoncello does it really well. Love the white wine sauce and the fresh clams. From what I hear, the restaurant ships in ingredients and fresh produce straight from Italy, so you get really good quality dishes served to you. It’s no wonder they tasted so good.

The Mother’s Day menu offers two choices of main courses – Fettuccine with mushrooms and sliced wagyu beef in natural juice or Salt-baked Sea Bass. All portions are for two-to-share. Just look at the salt-baked sea bass! They are huge and totally covered with natural sea salt – Imagine the flavors that go into the flesh of the sea bass! And yes, one whole fish for two to share!

Branzino Al Sale paired with Calanchi di Vaiano Chardonnay

The flesh was firm, fresh and very sweet. I could taste the sea salt – Not overwhelming, just right and very delicious.

Fettucine Con Frattaglie di Wagyu paired with Riparosso Montepulciano D’Abruzzo

The Fettuccine was awesome too – I don’t usually like cream sauce pasta, but this was nice. The wagyu beef matched so well with the pasta and sauce, and the whole dish was just delightful.

The meal ends with a choice of Limoncello cake or Tiramisu. We tasted the former, and it was a light cake with a hint of lemon zest and butter. It was served with a scoop of ice-cream and a glass of alcohol (quite strong for me, so if you can’t hold your liquor well, go slow). It was a sweet end to a wonderful meal indeed.

Apart from the Mother’s Day menu offerings, we also tasted other specialty dishes on Limoncello’s menu, and they were good. You can consider ordering them on top of the Mother’s Day menu – It’s worth every calorie. =P

Deep fried Calamari (Not in Mother’s Day menu)

I love fried calamari. This was done perfectly – crispy, salty and not oily.

Limoncello does very good breads and pizzas in-house, so make sure you try their bread stick with parma ham and any one of their pizzas. I like it that they are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Happy foods definitely!

Their Squid Ink Pasta with Scallops was delicious and done to perfection.
