The One Thing She’s Scared Of

Joey's not scared of heights, not scared of hot things, not scared of little animals, and is generally a fearless girl by nature, but she is only scared of one thing - VACUUM CLEANER!

I didn't really realise it before, but that day I brought out the vacuum cleaner preparing to clean the floor, and she immediately went, "I don't want! I don't want!I don't want!" and burst out into tears! Then she ran all the way up the sofa, as if my vacuum cleaner was chasing her!

Oh man... I don't know whether it's the noise that made her so afraid of such a little harmless thing or it's because she thought the vacuum cleaner might eat her up. Mind you, my house's vacuum cleaner is even pink in colour. Such an innocent colour lor!

Today at Expo, she saw a vaccum cleaner lying at one corner and she immediately tugged at my hand and went, 'I don't want that one.'

Looks like she really hates vacuum cleaners. Beats me why...

The Youngest Pool Player In History

Well, it's not everyday that you see someone pushing in a stroller into a pool & billiard centre. =P

I must say it drew quite abit of stares when we brought Joey to a pool centre to meet up with some friends. And Joey was so excited to try her hand at playing pool!

At the beginning, she busied herself taking all the balls and putting them on the next table. The colourful balls were enough to keep her occupied. Haha..

Then she saw how Daddy was playing, and she followed suit...

Not bad eh? Got the 'sei'.... But of course, Daddy & his friends' bums all genna her billiard cue when she lifts it up... Hahaha...

The invincible daddy-Joey pool duo!

A Very Funny Book

Bought a funny book for Joey today..

This is quite an interesting book.. Comes with animal cartoons with no faces.

Then the kids can create faces for the animals using the stickers provided.

Joey's creation...

Trust me, it would have been alot worse without my guidance.

That's why the book is called Funny Faces book... hahaha..

@ Bishan Playground

Brought Joey to Junction 8 today to walk walk, and we had a fun time playing at the rooftop playground. =)

Edited these pictures by adjusting the hues. Do they look artistic? Heee..

Face The Wall

Joey was very mischievous today. Kept running here and there, touching this and that and messing the whole house up. It was already getting on my nerves till she hit the last straw - She pulled out a key from my laptop keyboard! (YES! Again!!!!) Thank God, not much permanent damage done cos I managed to pluck it back, but still, I was so angry I made her face the wall.

This is called 面壁思过。

Sigh, I wonder if this has any effect on her at all. She seemed to think it's a game. :(

The Wonderful Two

As you all know, Joey is now approaching the Wonderful Two age. As she grows in her wisdom and understanding, she is also growing in her knowledge of getting done her way. That, of course, is just putting it in a very nice way. What I really mean is that she will do every irritating thing just to get her way.

And so, she recently started on the 'I want! I want! I want! I want! I want! I want! (X500 times) tactic. When she wants something and we don't give it to her, she will start her repeating chant of 'I wants' in amazing precision & speed. Trust me, in a public place, this is so NOT FUNNY at all.

If it's not 'I want!', she will go on the 'I want nen nen' chant (Read: nen nen is milk). And she has this weird habit of asking for nen nen the moment we board a taxi, even though she just drank one whole bottle before we left the house. And this chanting of 'I want nen nen' from the start of the journey till the end of it, often leaves the mummy (that is me) and the taxi uncle very traumatised indeed.

She & her friend, Nicole. Kids nowadays are so talented. You tell them that you are taking a photo of them, and they purposely give you the very cool poses.

This clever girl of mine has also mastered the art of putting her finger to her lips and telling people, 'shhhhhhh' (ie, keep quiet). I had taught her that action because I wanted her to know when to keep quiet. While I was still feeling happy to myself that my daughter picks up things so fast, she just did that action to me just now when I was gently singing a song to coax her to sleep. @#$$#%^$&%&^%

The Trolley Bag

If you remember, long long time ago, I bought Joey a trolley bag. She only used it for the very first time today. Inside her bag is her bento box, water bottle and sweater. =)

Finally my own bag can be lighter and not stuffed with her things. heee...
