Baby Jayne has been steadily piling on pounds, and carrying her now is hardcore training for my biceps & triceps!
Getting chubbier by the day!
I love how freestyle her sleeping pose is.
Ahhhh.. don’t you feel like biting her cheeks?

Baby Jayne has begun her flying officially. On her tummy, I mean.
I really cannot remember what’s so fun (or funny) about flying on my tummy, so I can’t really represent Jayne’s views here on the new stint. Her smiles say it all.
Recently, I’ve also been noticing Jayne making efforts to flip over. She’s not quite there yet, but it’s only a matter of time. First flying, then crawling, then walking, then running, then dancing!
How amazing that every baby seemed to have a biological clock ticking inside of them, telling them when it’s time to attempt certain milestones in their growing up. :)

The weather was glorious by evening, not too hot and very windy. We saw many families on the beach with their kids. Children were running here and there playing with the sand and water, laughing. It was a heartwarming sight.
We started to set up the BBQ pit. It was a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration for Isaiah and his colleagues!
We were the earliest (naturally, since we reached at 2pm for lunch!), so my two girls had fun posing together.. (or rather the big one had fun while the small one appeared very bochap…)
The food!
Speaking of which, I actually haven’t had a BBQ so near to the beach for the longest time. I can’t even remember when was the last time I did that! My most recent BBQs were all at someone’s house…
Do not be deceived by how mediocre this looked on the outside:
Once BBQ-ed, it was just FANTABULOUS!! I mean, you should be able to tell from this beautifully-taken picture by yours truly right??! It’s actually straw mushrooms wrapped up by bacon. Awwww…
I love BBQ food!
Baby Jayne was just sitting in the stroller, enjoying the sea breeze and falling asleep when she felt like it…
while Joey destroyed played with the lanterns.. :)
I don’t have to tell you how exhausted both my girls are by the time we go home right? :)

Had a tiring long day today but I think Joey had fun!
After service, we brought the girls to the East Coast Park. We have a BBQ gathering in the evening, and thought we could bring Joey cycling in the afternoon first. The weather was hot, HOT, HOT!! Nevertheless, Joey had loads of fun!
Bright & abundant amount of sunlight mean the photos will turn out great! haha.. I just love how blue the blues are and how green the greens are!
The weather was seriously way TOO HOT for me. I kept psycho-ing Joey to stop cycling and go for a drink in a shady place. =P
We settled down at Starbucks and had our cool drinks. *slurp*
Totally unrelated and random photo which I snapped because it made me feel like I was in Japan, for some strange reason.
Part II coming up!

Had nothing planned for today, so I brought my girls back to my parents’ place to chill. It turned out to be a pretty fun day…
BECAUSE JOEY MADE BIG BUNS! Yes, 大包!
More about that in a while, but now, I’m going to show you some cute fluffy darlings!
These are my brother’s pet hamsters and he has been taking care of them for about a year. He taking care is an understatement because most of the time, my parents are the ones taking care of them, as my brother flies all the time virtue of his job as an air steward.
Joey has a love-hate relationship with them. While she loves to watch them and talks to them, she does not dare to go too near or feed them, which is a good thing too, because one of them is known to be rather hostile (he bites!), and it’s hard to tell the 2 hamsters apart- don’t know which is the nice hammie and which is the unfriendly hammie.
My mum loves to follow recipes and try cooking different things all the time. Today, she wanted to make big buns!
Here’s the trustworthy recipe book!
My mum guides Joey in preparing everything for Project Make-A-Big-Bun! First, marinating the meats and mushrooms.
When you homemake buns, you naturally put in lots of fav ingredients!
Hardboiled eggs!
Mushrooms! oh my love!!!!
And this, is the filling for the big buns – chicken, pork, mushrooms & water chestnut. All fried to fragrant perfection!
Time to make the skin for the big buns!
The dough is done! Separately into 12 small doughs so that we can make a dozen of big buns!
Joey rolls them flat with a rolling pin…
And the final step is of course to put the fillings onto the flattened skin..
Tada! Ready to be steamed & eaten! =D
While we had fun making the buns, Baby Jayne was just enjoying the cool breeze lying on a mattress by herself in the living room. She actually fell asleep twice all on her own (without pacifier & without mummy’s patting) during the whole time! It was just a lazy relaxed afternoon for her. :)
Joey had loads of fun too, like she always did whenever she’s at Grandma’s house. :)
And me? I just relax while my mummy cooks lunch for me, and feeds my daughter while I eat in peace! I swear I didn’t make her do all that… =P
Happy Saturday. :))
