The Little Parrot

Baby Jayne has been incredibly cute the past few months. She mimics everything we say, and although not everything comes out perfectly well, it’s just awesomely adorable and very, very funny.

This of course marks the beginning of make-sure-daddy-and-mummy-don’t-talk-nonsense-anymore stage. Whatever we say, she imitates. It’s scary what comes out of her mouth.

Just the other day, she said, ‘一个头啊!’impatiently at Joey, and it took us a while to realise that she was saying, ‘你的头啊!‘ (Your head eh!) Ahem.

On a more positive note, she picks up the good as well. Whenever she’s able to do something (like climb to the top of the table), she would say, ‘我厉害!‘ (I’m very good!) It’s good to be confident, I guess.

Most of the time though, she says very day-to-day stuffs like ‘Where are you going?’, ‘Mummy is home!’, ‘I like this one…’. I really like this stage now, because I can finally have a decent conversation with her. =) So, it’s really nice.

Baby Jayne also had this fetish for speaking in ‘tongues’. I attribute it to the fact that she watches too much Korean dramas in the evenings with my mum-in-law. She’d pretend she’s speaking in korean with all the ‘yor’ at the end of every sentence. One day, I shall video it down and upload on this blog just to prove my point. Being the queen of drama queens, the two of us will ‘yor’ here and there for a whole minute and throw our heads back for a good laugh because we found each other so hilarious. Too entertaining.

My baby is growing up so fast, I can’t believe it! =D
