Staycation at Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport

Sponsored Review

We were very thrilled to be invited for a staycation by the kind folks at Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport during Christmas - Who doesn't love a staycation?? Especially when school will be starting in a week's time, this little 'holiday' is much welcomed. :)

I have to admit that Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport is not a common choice of staycation in Singapore, but I think it's in such a great location. It's quiet, peaceful and in close proximity to lots and lots of F&B outlets that are opened 24 hours! It was a little strange treading around Changi Airport in slippers in the middle of the night, but there was a sense of liberation as well. LOL!

The hotel's interiors are beautiful. It would be nice to have a drink in the hotel lobby. :)

During the Christmas season, there is a joyous festive atmosphere in the air with the Christmas trees lined by the side.

The moment we stepped into our hotel room, we liked what we saw. The room was beautiful and huge! We had a king-sized bed and an extra single bed rolled in for us. A comfortable three-seater sofa sat in front of the bed and a flat screen TV hangs on the opposite wall.

If you pull up the blinds in the bathroom, you can soak in bubble bath & watch TV at the same time. Nice.

Did you notice the swimming pool at the background?? YES! Our room's located on Level 3, and our glass door opens right up to the swimming pool! I can't think of a better idea for a family staycation than this. Throughout our stay, the glass door was practically opened all the time, and the kids spent a lot of time on the poolside. I love it that in a luxurious hotel like this, we could have a resort feel as well. What a perfect combination.

The swimming pool's really quite pretty. There're lots of landscaping around and inside the pool - It's more for frolicking than proper swimming of course. A pity though - There's no kids' wading pool, so the kids could not be inside the pool by themselves without adults' supervision. It would be perfect if there's an area for the kids to play safely.

It was no surprise that the very first thing we did after check-in was to swim!

It was sooooooo convenient to have the swimming pool right outside our room! =D

Great bonding time with the girls in the pool!

Part of our Christmas staycation was tickets to the Christmas Carnival at the hotel ballroom. After swimming, the kids went there to have some fun! We were there just when it started, so we had the whole place to ourselves!

There's inflatables, free flow popcorn & candy floss (OMG!), game stalls for the kids to play and win little prizes, balloonist to make balloon art and also magic shows at designated timeslots during the day. =)

The game stalls were simple to play, so the girls went again, and again, and again! I was slightly embarrassed that they won almost every prize but it was all in good fun!! =D

One of the game stall owners even played the stick game with Joey on the floor, haha!

The balloonist was so talented! She could make virtually anything the kids asked for!

Just look at this fairy - so amazing!

Back in the room, we napped, watched movies on TV and hung around at the swimming pool some more. It was such a relaxing and simple family time together - LOVE IT!

The next morning, we woke up to a lovely pool view and then went for a sumptuous buffet breakfast on Christmas morning!

My breakfast consisted of bacon, ham (super yummy!), omelette, warm baked beans & hotcakes (plus another two or three more servings later on of Nasi Lemak, curry chicken, naan, salads & fruits =P) SO YUMMY!

Thank you, Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport, once again for your warm hospitality and sponsored staycation. We had a really fun and relaxing time! =D If you are planning your next staycation, why not consider this hotel? It's got a good combination of relaxation, convenience, peace & entertainment all rolled into one - Just the way I like my staycations. =)
