Back From The Ancient City!

Hello Hello! We’re back from Malacca, the Ancient City of Malaysia!

The trip was supposed to be two-day-one-night, but because we had a tedious 6-hour drive to Malacca, we decided to extend another night there just so we can make the journey worth it. Ha! The traffic jam was really terrible because of the long weekend, and almost one in two cars we saw in Malacca was a Singapore car!

Took super a lot of photos on this trip, so it’s going to take the next few days to sort everything out. For today, it’s about our first meal in Malacca. =)

Upon reaching our hotel, we realised that our room was not ready, so we deposited our baggage and went to nearby Famosa Chicken Rice Ball Shop for a late lunch.

The interesting thing about Malacca is how they love to paint their buildings RED. I’m sure you have heard about their famous landmark red brick buildings. It’s a row of old building made of red bricks and has been there since the ancient of times. Anyway, the interior walls of this shop is RED.

For a kid who just sat in a six-hour road journey, Joey was pretty energetic!

We HAD to order Malacca’s specialty dessert – Chendol!

Here comes the food!!! Of course the chicken rice balls!

And what, in my opinion, is the best side dish to go with chicken rice. :)

Yummy! Joey ate 4 of the rice balls. =D

After lunch, we checked into our hotel! We were so happy with our room. It was big and spacious, and even had a separate area for TV and sofa. Love it!

Our room was on the 13th floor, and we could see the whole Malacca City when we looked out from the windows!

It’s a city that ancient and full of interesting this and that. Can’t wait to explore the city! :)
