We were happy with everything about our hotel except for one thing: Breakfast. They serve horrendous breakfast! =X
Breakfast was served at the top floor of the hotel, and its only saving grace was that there was an outdoor rooftop dining area.

This was the pathetic breakfast selection. They have a container of porridge with different condiments and side dishes to go with it (But totally didn’t look appetizing)

Thankfully, there was bread and jam, so I survived the first morning on that..

The outdoor dining area was nice and we had the whole place to ourselves.

A lousy breakfast did not deter us from stepping out to the streets with gusto!

The weather in Taipei was HOT. Temperatures were at 35- 36 degrees celsius everyday.

But inspite of the hot weather, I love walking on the streets of Taipei. It was a colourful and interesting experience. :)

Their pedestrian crossings lasted 70 – 90 seconds each time. No need to rush across the road as there’s ample time!

And we tried the infamous Mister Donut. It was legendarily good. So soft & chewy, OMG!!!

And not forgetting, very prettily done too! See the pretty pink face!

The weather was swelteringly hot. Thank God for my mum, who made herbal tea for us everyday in the hotel, and kept buying tomato juice for Baby Jayne to drink! Travelling with parents is indeed different. Haha!

We took a taxi to SOGO, with the intention to visit the 阿宗面线 (Ah Zong Mee Sua) just next to SOGO. This was a branch from the main shop at Ximending. The difference is that this particular branch had seating area and sold prawn/oyster omelette.
I’ve been missing this awesome mee sua since I tried it 3 years ago!

The prawn omelette was heavenly with eggs, flour batter & my fav prawns!!! Made up for my breakfast disaster. Haha!

After lunch, we went for ice-cream & yoghurt next door. Perfect in the hot weather!! And we were the only ones in the cafe – Nice and peaceful. =)
