I had the most awesome National Day experience ever last week. I've always thought of checking into a hotel room nearby the parade square to watch the NDP, but have never gotten to it before. Then last week, I had the chance to do that because one of my church friends booked a hotel room and invited us over. It was so much fun!

The room had a balcony that overlooked  the beautiful skyline of Singapore and we could see the floating platform very clearly. The adult were so excited and we all took turns to stand on the balcony and kept clicking away!  It was a first for many of us, and we were all very excited about the fireworks especially. :)

The younger kids were not so interested, so they spent most of their time chasing each other around the room and watching the NDP on TV.

The elder kids sat around to chit chat and munched on titbits that we brought along. It was a relaxing time for all of us. :)

The sky was getting dark by the minute, and as the lights begun to light up, the whole skyline started transforming into a beautiful city of lights!

It was way too cool because we could see the dance performances at the floating platform from our balcony, and at the same time, get the audio from the TV. Very stereo.

Everyone screamed whenever a fireworks appeared. Haha!

The finale fireworks display was magnificent! We kept wow-ing at the different patterns and styles that appeared before our eyes. It's an experience that would not be forgotten!

When the NDP ended, the whole gang went for dinner and had a jolly good time chit-chatting till late. Such precious time spent together with my spiritual family! :)
