Play Date At Playful Elves

Sponsored Review

We were invited by Playful Elves for a two-hour play time on Monday, and I thought it was nice to invite my kids' friends to go along as well so that we can have a play date before the school holidays end. Playful Elves was very kind to give all the kids complimentary play time, so the kids had such a great time playing together. :)

Playful Elves is situated inside West Coast Plaza, and has been in operation for about six months. This indoor playground may not be big, but it's got a major attraction that kept all the kids occupied for two solid hours - Ball-shooting! From 4 gunning stations, kids could collect sponge balls, load them into the guns & shoot at each other! Look at the kids with their baskets ready to catch & collect the sponge balls that would be released from the basket above their heads in a second!

Down came the balls, and the kids went crazy!!!!!

Ammunition is very important - All the kids scrambled to collect as many sponge balls as they can and ran to a gunning station.

Two of the kids who went along with us are from Upper Primary levels, and I was initially worried that the playground might be too childish for them. Turned out they were the ones who had the most fun!!

Look at all these girls ready for combat!!!!

These kids were so good at aiming, even I got nervous inside the playground. Haha...

Apart from the 'Magical Forest' where all the balls fly here & there, there's also a bouncy castle, colourful slides and smaller toys for the toddlers. Once in a while, the younger kids would come out & play on them. Like I said, the older kids never once left the ball-shooting battlefield in the two hours we were there. LOL!

Another interesting feature in Playful Elves is the Forest Race Track that allows younger toddlers to 'drive' cars around on a race track. I spoke to the person hosting us that day, and she explained that they used to have motorised cars for the kids to play, but because they were faster, they sometimes knock into each other. So now the motorised cars only appear during birthday parties.

One thumbs-up at Playful Elves is that they have minders who watch over the kids while they play. And the minders not only watch them for safety reasons, they also play with the kids! The bonus is that the minders looked genuinely interested in playing with the kids and they really liked children, which I don't really see in other indoor playgrounds. One of the minders spent time playing with Jayne and made her feel really at ease even though it was our first time at Playful Elves. I was really grateful to him. :)

Parents would be happy to know that free wireless connection is available inside Playful Elves. So while your kids are having a ball of time in the playground, you can relax with a coffee at the cafe and surfing the net, while still having full view of your kids.

My kids and their friends had a great time at Playful Elves. The place was not too big, so we could see our kids all the time. The ball-shooting was definitely a big plus for our combat-loving kids. LOL! West Coast Plaza was also easily accessible - We took a free shuttle bus from Clementi MRT station and back. Check out this for the various bus routes & timings.

Here are the entry fees & membership fees for your easy reference. :)
