Mad For Garlic

Because I am a HUGE fan of garlic, I tried Mad for Garlic restaurant for the first time a couple of years ago. I fell in love with the food, as expected, and there was not a dish I didn't enjoy tremendously there. Sadly, the Suntec branch closed for renovation due to the Asset Enhancement Initiative, and I stumbled upon the new outlet at the reopened Suntec Convention Centre recently. I was so happy I dragged hubby and the kids there for a meal that afternoon.

If you are wondering whether they have anything suitable for kids, rest assured. The garlic used for their dishes are supposedly from Korea, and surprisingly do not leave a smell in your mouth after the meal. Many dishes are non-spicy as well even though garlic is used. As part of the opening promotion, every table also receives a free 'garlic snowing pizza' with orders made. I was elated! This pizza is a must-try at the restaurant.

It was such a happy Sunday afternoon - Perfect for a relaxing family meal together.

The kids shared a bolognaise pasta - Love the sauce, really yummy!

But I love my pasta even more - The shrimp & garlic sprout pasta is spicy, flavourful and definitely has an oomph to it. It was simply delightful.

And of course, there is a reason why it's called Garlic Snowing Pizza. The thin-crust pizza is packed with crispy garlic slices, shrimps and pineapples, and when served, the waiter will ask if you would like cheese to be on the pizza. Say yes, and the handheld cheese shredder appears with cheese falling down on the pizza like snow. I tell you, this is way too yummy.

I need to go back to the restaurant for more of its goodness soon.
