Physically VERY demanding

I think it's because some more new teeth are coming out soon, Joey developed a fever last night. 39 degrees! She kept waking up every hour and kept crying very loudly. Poor gal, it must be very uncomfortable for her. After taking paracetamol (is that how you spell it?? nei..), she got better. But today, she got slight fever again throughout the day. During the evening, her whole body felt really hot. Thank God the fever has subsided now.

Not only is she feeling uncomfortable, her daddy and mummy are equally poor things. I couldn't really sleep last night because I was afraid her temperature may suddenly shoot up high within minutes. Some kids get that and you know, some become mentally retarded. So, I am always very careful with fever. It can lead to many complications. So, didn't really sleep last night except the wee hours of the morning, then had to wake up for service. Both Isaiah and I felt so tired that we walked like we were floating.

Look at her on our way to service. Doesn't look like she's sick right??

She enjoyed herself playing in the new toy in the nursery. Or maybe it's not new, it's just that I've been staying in the artiste room every week instead of the nursery. Such an interesting toy! The seat slides front and back and the baby can turn to the right or to the left. The baby also steps on 4 coloured padding which makes sound when the baby steps on it. Everything on the toy lights up or makes some music when touched. Cool!

It's not all play. There were moments she sat there like a good girl listening to the songs sang by the guest singers at church today. Maybe she could recognise them! Cos the singer is from Israel and he sang many of the songs from a CD we kept playing at home. It's a CD my MIL bought back from her Israel trip. Hehe...

After service, I went back to my parents' house to have dinner with them while Isaiah met up his soccer buddies for soccer. Came home with a body of injuries. Again. But well, the price to pay for passion! Just spent 30 minutes coaxing Joey to sleep earlier on when I reached home and she woke up crying again after barely 15 minutes. More coaxing. Praise God she is sleeping again now.

Phew.. so you see, taking care of a baby is very physically demanding! Thank God I am still young.. otherwise, I really can't imagine!
