Yesterday, I had the chance to take a short stroll around the Chinatown neighbourhood while looking for a place to have lunch at. The vintage wooden gates and these colourful sofa caught my attention and I decided to have lunch at this place called Eight Cafe & Bar. Vintage furniture always make me smile.

Every Tue - Fri, they offer a different lunch set at $8.80 each that comes with a soft drink. That day, the set was Rendang Chicken with rice. You may also opt for a slightly more expensive set lunch of Fried Dory with french fries at $9.80. Both prices are nett.

Stepped into the cafe and I loved it immediately. Wooden beams at the ceiling, retro and vintage furniture and fittings everywhere. Too much eye candy for me.

One of these days, I'll go back and try their crabmeat linguine for dinner!

I enjoyed my lunch very much. The rendang chicken was flavorful and fragrant, and the rice and salad went very well with it. The portion was just right too. For $8.80 nett, I thought that's really worth it. I would surely recommend this to my friends. :)
