Everyday I look at my baby girl, I cannot help but think that she is a package of joy that God has sent into my life.

I am immensely grateful to God that Jayne is a very cheerful and happy girl. 95% of the time, she is smiling, laughing, singing or dancing. If you just pause whatever you are doing and observe her for a while, you will know what I mean. She is an epitome of God's joy. And to me, she is a constant reminder of God's goodness and grace in my life. Whenever I  look at her, I remember that I too can keep that joy in my heart, even when things don't always go my way. My mum has commented more than once that she has never seen such a happy girl before. I think it's the same case for me too.

Jayne is a really silly girl who laughs at anything and thinks that everything is funny. I think God is happy with that personality because the truth is, if we can always look on the bright side of things, we can all be happier and more positive people. Too often, I focus on the negatives, and wallow in self-pity when things get hard-going. But the key to get out of a trench is to step up and step out of that pessimistic emotion and make an effort to be happy!

There are so many areas in my life that need improvements, and everyday I am learning to become a better person. God has sent me my kids to mould me and remind me in many of these areas and I am so thankful for that. Being a mum has its challenges and sacrifices, but being a mum also has its privileges and joy. I would never trade this privilege and joy for anything else in this world.

Motherhood has definitely caused me to be more introspective. I love it.
