We went to check out the Drypers Little Day Out Carnival that happened two weekends ago at Singapore Expo Hall 4B. This is the second year the carnival is running, and we met so many parents and kids at the event!
Entry to the event is free-of-charge upon filling out a simple registration form on the spot. When we reached the hall, the whole place was bustling with excitement and the kids couldn't wait to run right in.
As the focus for the carnival this year is on spending family time together, a whole lot of activities was planned for the whole family to do together such as cupcake baking, gym and music sessions, drama performances, story-telling and fun rides, etc. It was heartening to see so many parents getting involved with their kids' development. The moms and dads patiently joined in the activities with their toddlers, and were basically just having lots of fun together.
Of course, a play area is a must at such events. So many kids were well-entertained in that little area.
And the inflatables were so colourful, even I felt like jumping in. Did I mention before that I used to love inflatables as a kid? I bet you did too. How can any kid not like them??
The kids took choo choo train rides, rode the pirate ship and just had tons of fun zooming from one station to another. What's the best thing? Everything's free and because we were pretty early at the event, there were no queues yet!
It was childhood for my kids, and childhood relived for me. =D
And of course, at every Carnival, there are balloons. Lots of them. And the balloonist spied me suspiciously.
At the stage right in the centre of the hall, there was a storytelling session and we all sat down for it. Jayne even went on stage and acted as a 'rabbit'. =P
She really should have acted as the lamb instead, since that was what she was wearing that day.
Drypers also believes in helping needy families ensure they have special moments as well, so at the Carnival, a special Drypers Happy Pack (worth up to$40) was on sale from $10-$15 dollars, depending on the type of diaper chosen. All proceeds went to the KKH Health Endowment Fund, which supports mothers and children who may lack resources when seeking medical help. That definitely added a meaningful touch to this annual event.
Before we left, we went to take a photo at the photo booth, where cute caption and graphic props were provided. The photos were even printed out for us on the spot - Really nice!
It was a fun family event where I got to play and just hang out with my hubby and kids. Like. :)
Thanks to Drypers, for organising the Drypers Little Day Out - The whole family had fun! :)
