Ice-Skating Fun At The Changi Airport

Media Invite

Over the weekend, the kids were invited to check out the 'Fascinating Russia' event happening at the Changi Airport. I really think the marketing team at Changi Airport is a creative bunch of people - the events and activities planned so far have always been fun and interesting for kids. My kids love attending their events! Remember the Angry Bird Space event the kids went for previously?

The 'Fascinating Russia' event runs from 16 March to 7 April 2013, 12pm to 10pm daily. Discover the fun facts of the world's largest country with the exciting line-up of interactive activities at the Russia exhibition.

The kids were given an air ticket (lucky draw coupon) and a passport to collect chops after completing activities. Pretty interesting!

The girls only had to complete 4 simple tasks to get all the chops required and exchange for a free gift.

A very cute big storybook. =D

The Russian dolls standees are so cute!

The stamping stations were ingenious I thought. Just slot in your booklet through the slit and press down the stamp.

And aren't the stamps cute??

The gift is a Russian doll mobile phone charm!

What is even more fascinating about the Fascinating Russia event is that they built an ice-skating rink right inside Changi Airport! It is not big scale, but definitely enough to thrill the kids to bits.

Service is meticulous too. Ice-skating shoes are provided, gloves are provided, and even socks are provided FOC! Brand new ones of course, and you get to keep them after the event. There are staff around to help the kids put on their shoes and coach them how to skate. Full marks for the service provided. =)

Jayne is a little too young, so they let her wear a different kind of blades which is more stable and strapped to her shoes. The blades are shaped like a rectangle so that the kid can balance easily on the ice. She didn't even need to hold on to a penguin as she went along!

One segment of ice-skating is 20 minutes, and the kids had fun just sliding here and there. Pretty cool, I say.

The Ice-skating rink is a school holiday special, available only on the following dates:
